My First Haircut

Lots of pictures ahead!!

At only 9 months and 3 weeks old, Cason got his first haircut and it was sooo needed. As much as Mommy hated to let go of his few little curls in the back, it was time. After all, a little man should LOOK like a little man, right?! hahaha

We went to SportClips in Hendersonville (a "manly" place to get your hair cut!!). It's a sports themed shop that has lots of TV's with sports on to keep the guys entertained. The stylists wear referee shirts to fit the sports theme, and our stylist was Tammy. She was so sweet to Cason and was awesome with him for his first cut. He wasn't too sure of the whole experience at first, but Daddy was there with him (while Mommy took pictures). He wasn't too sure of the clippers either, but she let him feel them so he wouldn't be scared, and he was just fine!! Such a big boy!!

This is his "before" look.

And this is his (tired) "after" look with Tammy!

He was such a good boy and Daddy & I felt like he deserved a treat!! We originally had a walker/activity table saved for him for Christmas, but decided he was ready for it now!! Besides, he may be walking WELL by Christmas and we would have waited too long!! The walker part had already been changed to his activity table when we took these pictures though.

Cason just had SO much to say (& was cracking us up)!!!
(each video is about 15-30 seconds long)

(And for those of you that are curious, Dukes of Hazzard was on in the background!! And the poop break was a false alarm!! hahaha!)

Uncle Clayton is finally home from Korea!!!
A little late, but no worse for wear. After a couple hours in Seattle and Dallas, Uncle Clayton was finally on his flight home.
So glad that he's back!!

And in just a few days, Uncle Clayton & Aunt Jessie
will be here to visit!!

Uncle Clayton is coming home!!!

Yea!!!

Uncle Clayton is on his way home from Korea!!!!

He was originally supposed to get into Jacksonville tonight at 11 but his flight has been delayed.

He's due to arrive now on Friday morning at 10:45.

I'm sure Aunt Jessie (his new wifey-pooh) is sad but the good news is, he IS still coming home!

They're planning to come or a visit for a few days next weekend. They're going to Ohio to meet some of Jessie's family, and then stopping by to see us for a few days! AWESOME!!!

Can't wait to see their smiling faces & hug them sooooo tight!!!
Cason's ready to get some LOVE too!! =o)

Thank you Uncle Clayton for your service to your country
& defending our freedom!!!

And thank you Aunt Jessie for taking on the hardest job of all -
Military Wife!!!

Cason's got a brand new bag!!!

We always love getting together with our friends,

especially when we eat!

We met our dear friends Jim and Jill for dinner last night at Logan's Roadhouse (yummy yeast rolls and peanuts!!). We lovingly refer to them as Uncle Rico and Aunt Lafonda (Jim & I are Napoleon Dynamite fans). They really are the best!!

Anyway, they had recently been on a trip to Gatlinburg and bought a precious backpack for Cason. When we opened it, I almost screamed!!! I've been wanting to get something like this for Cason for a while now and the one they gave him is PERFECT!!!

I like books!!

Cason really loves his books,

especially the ones with thick, cardboard pages.

He likes to sit with them, push them around the floor,

drop them from the couch, and sometimes chew them!

We're sure the eventually he'll read them too!!

Just an (extra)ordinary afternoon

Here is what our afternoons & evenings consist of,

especially lately! =o)

Such a fun little man he is!!

We head home from Momma G's, maybe grab a snack,

go to the park and jog with Mommy, then play ALOT!

Then dinner time & play some more......

then bath time, and "BIG" bottle time........

.....then sleepytime!!!

So busy, and so much fun!!

We have people ask us often about Cason

And the answer is YES!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Sunday was Daddy's birthday

- The BIG 40 -

and he was spoiled silly!!!

First we went to church, then had a cookout afterwards. Then we headed home for some presents. Daddy opened his presents in Cason's room because they had been hiding in his closet, and there was just no way to sneak it all into the living room for "set-up"!!!

Cason got Daddy some of the golfballs that he's been wanting

and hinting at!! ;o)

Cason also got Daddy the stand bag he asked for!!
And a new golf shirt too!!

He also received some new golf socks and belts that he needed!!

Daddy received many gifts, cards and well wishes on his special day. But he said the best birthday present E-VER was sharing it with his family and the best baby E-VER!!

Love you so much Daddy!!
