Tractors

or Fiver Trukths?...

Driving by a fire station recently,
Cason saw the trucks in the bay.
This was next...

So.
Flippin.
Cute.

"No cheese Mommy"

The other morning on the way to Momma G's, I tried to get a picture of my sleepy little man.  When he saw that I was trying to take a picture he looked away all sleepy eyed.  So I said "Hey buddy, can you say cheese for mommy?" He immediately said "No Mommy No! No cheese Mommy!" and turned away.  When he realized that I had put my phone down and stopped taking pictures, then he started saying "Cheese!".  So silly, that boy!!

Yaaawn!! Still not quite awake.
"Hey buddy, can you say cheese for Mommy?"
"No Mommy No! No cheese Mommy!"
5 seconds later...
"Cheese!!!"
Funny boy!!

Funny little man

Cason's new "thing" lately is to sing Happy Birthday.
Even funnier, at the end of his song, he claps,
says YEA (so proudly),
says "candles" and then blows them out!
Such a hoot!

(Please forgive mommy's singing in this one!!)

(Another version, but without the "candles" part.
Funniest part "Happy birthday dear Casoooooooon...")

Good morning!

Some mornings Cason is sleepy.
Some mornings he is quiet.
Some mornings he is grumpy.
But most mornings, like today, he's just in the best mood.
Today on the way to Momma G's we talked about a fire truck and a ball,
said a prayer to be a good boy & have a good day,
and sang Jesus Loves Me.

Best.
Kid.
E-VER!
Sorry to cut the video short.
My iPhone would only let me email a portion of the video.

Golfing with Daddy

Wow!!
This is our 500th post!!
Seems fitting, since we had a very special event happen recently.

This weekend, one of Daddy's dreams came true.  He was able to take his favorite little buddy to the driving range with his new clubs (Cason's new clubs) for the first time!  The weather was cool, damp and breezy but that didn't stop them from having a ton of fun.  It was so sweet that I don't know if these words will do it justice.  They let Mommy tag along to take pictures and video, but mostly it was boys being boys.    We're still not sure who had more fun, Daddy or Cason! It was just precious!!

** Warning**
LOTS of cute pictures and videos ahead!!!

Walking from the car to the clubhouse
Daddy wasn't able to get the machine to work to get a bucket of balls, so we snagged a few range balls lying around and played with them on the putting green for a while.  Daddy was trying to teach a few fundamentals to his prodigy.
OK Daddy, it's your turn.
Daddy explaining that in golf, you do NOT throw the ball!
Packing up their bags to move to a different area
Look Mommy, a ball!
Changing from his wedge to his driver
Someone has the giggles
One... Two... Three!!
Gotta push my sleeves up for this shot

Just like Daddy

Relaxing

Sometimes to relax after bathtime, the little man likes to kick back in his recliner with a good book.  Tonight's selection: It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown!

Traveling home

All good things must come to an end, and that stinks!  On Sunday morning, we slept in and missed breakfast time at the hotel again.  So of course, after the car was packed, we went to Cracker Barrel again to eat.  Luckily our family loves CB as much as we do!

After breakfast, we were back on the road headed home.  We had an amazing time in Atlanta, as always and are so blessed to have such an fantastic little traveler.  We don't call him Capt Awesome for nothing, right?!  We cannot wait to come back in a few weeks for more Braves baseball.

Full tummy + swaying ride = early naptime
Cason's newly covered baseball travel pillow
Thank you Gamma
After naptime, we watched Cars,
which seems to be a travel favorite for the Captain.

Thank you Lord for your travel mercies
& for the wonderful time we had!
