Our book worm

Cason has really been into his books lately! Obviously, right now it's more about the pictures than actually reading, but we are excited that he has such a love of books at such an early age!

Reading Curious George in Mommy & Daddy's bed.
About an hour later we found him in his room like this!

Who knew?

Who knew that a fish tank could captively keep a 3 year olds attention?! We had to go visit Dr. Johnson since Cason's pesky cough just wouldn't go away.  When we arrived, they had moved the fish tank from the corner to the middle of the waiting room & Cason loved it!! He pulled up a chair right in front of it & sat there watching the fish for the entire 15 minutes we waited to be called back. Such a good little patient!

Too early!

Momma do you have to have the flash on this early?!
Seriously?...

Men of Courage

Daddy's men's group at church completed their study of "Courageous" by Alan & Steven Kendricks.  When Dr. Bruce Chesser, our pastor, was asked to help in some way commemorate the men's completion of the study, the men's group thought it would be something small, like a simple ceremony with the guys and their families.  Bro. Bruce had other ideas!  He suggested using this as an opportunity to have the men be a witness to other men and families in the church & a testament to their faith, their committments to their families and their love of the Lord, to be Godly men of courage and leaders in their homes.

The ceremony took place during the 11:00 service and each man who completed the study was called by name and presented with a Resolution signed by himself & Bro. Bruce. It was a really special moment and a very emotional ceremony for the men & families.
Courageous
by Casting Crowns
"Where are you men of courage? You were made for so much more.
Let the pounding of our hearts cry "We will serve the Lord!"
We were made to be courageous and we're taking back the fight.
We were made to be courageous and it starts with us tonight.
The only way we'll ever stand is on our knees with lifted hands.
Make us courageous! Lord, make us courageous!"

We are so proud of Daddy & all the men of the "Courageous" study group.
We love you so much!!

Sick days

Cason had developed a deep cough & just wasn't himself at dinner.  By bedtime he had a fever, so we decided to keep him home from preschool to take some medicine and get some rest.
Poor lil guy...

Peanut butter crackers & juice for dinner was all he wanted.
The next morning he just wanted to snuggle.
We moved to the living room to watch Jake on "the big TV".
Apparently, this was comfy.
We're not really sure how the socks-on-the-hands thing started. Hahaha.
The deep chest cough still lingers. Time for another breathing treatment.
Snuggle time with Ducky makes it all better.

This just never gets old!

At a loss for words...

So we are in line at Starbucks (inside Target) and turn around and see this.
Daddy's sunglasses on his head, his Cars keys on the table with his Cars phone.  We asked him "What ya doing buddy?" and he said "Hold on, I'm texing somebody."
(That's right. He's texing, not texting. Hahaha)
Oh.
My.
Gosh.
This child is a hoot!! Thank you Lord for Your sense of humor!

Party time!!

You can't very well celebrate turning 3 years old without a party, right?!!  Cason invited some of his friends to the FMC (Family Ministry Center) at church & everyone had a blast.  They played in the indoor play area with slides & all things FUN!  Later we had pizza, cupcakes and opened gifts.
A special thanks to all of Cason's friends & family who attended.  You are so loved!!
It was absolutely a blessed day for the Captain!!
