For a while now, Mommy was wanting to make a gingerbread house at Christmastime.  I just wasn't quite sure how to make one with Cason and it not be too large or fall apart.  So for now, while Cason is small, we decided to make a Gingerbread tree instead...

(Relax, it was a kit! Mommy is crafty, but not THAT crafty!! hehe)

We found the kit at Target while Christmas shopping and it was just too adorable to pass up.  Cason had so much fun helping and this will definitely be a tradition we continue next year!!

For some reason this year, even with the most Awesome of kids in our house, Mommy and Daddy had a real struggle getting into the Christmas Spirit this year.  We finally decided that to get out of the funk we were in, we were going to the Opryland Hotel to wrap ourselves in the holiday lights! 

Our complex was having a Christmas party with Santa, so our first stop was by the clubhouse to see Santa & snag a treatbag (or 2)!

 After we got home, Cason was getting ready for bathtime and ended up in a daze watching Disney for a few minutes.. Too cute!

Once we were home from our trip, we took a few days to just get back into our normal routine.  This time of year, Mommy really enjoys baking.  Now that Cason is older, he's really been wanting to "help" more.  So one night while making some banana bread, he helped mommy with the mixer! Such a big helper!!
