More teeth!

Cason's 1 year molars have finally arrived!
#9 and #10 are here!!

Seems like the little fella has been cutting these teeth forever. At least for the last month or so his gums have been so swollen, but alas, no teeth to show for it. Then yesterday morning, while we were brushing I happened to notice a little white popping through his gums and voila! There it was! And just the same way this morning, I notice the other molar had popped through also.

Other than a low grade fever from time to time, you'd never know he was teething. We know how amazingly blessed we are!!!
Such a big boy!!

Here's to Firsts

Mommy is in quite a sentimental mood today. Looking through some of Cason's older pictures, I came across a few that really tugged at my heart. My sweet baby boy is growing up so fast! It just reminds me how blessed we are and how grateful I am to have this amazing little person in my life.
God is so good!!

Here's to firsts!!

The first joyous news

The first midnight cravings

The first sonogram photo on the refrigerator

The first time you look in his eyes and know you’re no longer number one

The first night at home

The first funny little smile

The first time he sleeps through the night

The first laugh

The first crawl

The first stumbling steps

The first time he says “Ma…ma…ma…mama”

The first love pat

The first kiss

The first time you realize that,
no matter how well you’ve prepared,
you’re never quite ready.

Love you so very much sweet boy!!

Our 12 month check up

On January 17th we made our way to Tennessee Pediatrics for our very first check up as a ONE YEAR OLD!! This time last year we were there for our 2 week check up and now we're here for our 12 month check up!!! Completely blows our minds!!!

Waiting for Dr. Johnson

Cason's been growing like a weed lately, and eating almost everything in site. Well, that is after you put it in his mouth, he spits it out to hold it & inspect it and then puts it back in to eat it! Such a little stinker! His size 4 diapers seem to be getting shorter and his 12 month shirts have easily been replaced by 24 month and 2T's!! His footed pjs at 18-24 months are even getting short. Yes, our little man is growing up!

Such a big helper!!

He weighed 25.13 pounds and was 31 inches long!!! I couldn't wrap my mind around it, he's a little less than 3 feet tall - ALREADY!!! I love it!!

Celina (Dr. Johnson's nurse) & Daddy
measure Cason's length

We've been told he can be weaned off of formula (if he wasn't already) and go to whole Vitamin D milk. We also need to have him weaned from the bottle onto a sippy cup or straw cup by the time we return for our 15 month checkup in April. (He still takes a bottle for formula/milk at night before bed). We can start introducing other dairy products also, like cheese, cottage cheese, and whole yogurt, as well as honey and strawberries.

Cason & his new pal Scout chillin out

We're so excited to take this next step together as a family! Sure are looking forward to what God has planned for us!! It's always an adventure with Cason!!!

Aunt Chrissy, Johnny & Abigail

After Cason's party, Aunt Chrissy, Johnny & Abigail came over to visit for a while. Uncle Johnny had National Guard duty again this weekend in Nashville so the family was able to make it to celebrate Cason's birthday with us!! They were able to stay Saturday and Sunday so we had time to catch up! It was so cold (20+ degrees), but we still had lots of fun!

These kiddos just love hanging out and playing together, it's just precious!

**Lots of pictures!**

Cason's 1st Birthday Party

On Saturday January 8, 2011 we all gathered to celebrate
Capt Awesome's First Birthday!!

All of his friends from Momma G's were there, as well as some close friends and family. We celebrated at Peek-A-Boo Playtown, a "way too cute" indoor playhouse with a pretend grocery store, fire station, police station, train table, dinosaur table, dress up theatre and riding toys. Then we took a break for some pizza and cupcake cones. Later we opened gifts and had a blast with our friends!
So much fun - even for the grown ups!!!
