Daddy went on a fishing trip with some of the men in our Sunday School class over the weekend.  That meant some special Mommy & Cason time.  We stayed up late, ate pizza, watched a bunch of movies (Cason's pick, of course) and spent lots of time at the park.  It was great, but we were glad to see Daddy when he got home on Sunday.  We missed him so much!!

or girlfriend or somebody because he had no clue we were taking these pictures.

There is no worse feeling as a parent when your child is just flat out feeling icky and there is very little, if anything, you can do to make it better.  So when Cason was feeling less than 100%, we stayed home from work/school, drank lots of fluids, had a few breathing treatments and took some Claritin.  Plus we got LOTS of rest!  Later that day, Capt Awesome was back to 100%!!

I guess this is proof that you really can read a good book (or books) just about anywhere....

One of our favorite things to do with Cason is to just "chill".  On this particular Sunday, we woke up from our 3+ hour nap (woo hoo!!) and colored some pictures for Uncle Clayton, then went to the park for a walk. That's it!  Gotta love those days...

One of our favorite restaurants is Kabuto Hibachi Grill.  It's a Japanese steakhouse very similar to Benihana or Shogun and the food is A-MAZ-ING!!  After church on Sunday, we decided it was a good time to see if Cason may love it as much as we do.  Ah...the sights, sounds and smells!  We discovered that he was not as keen on the place as we were.  This first trip did not quite go like we had planned, but I'm sure we'll be back to visit very soon.

We decided to do something a little different.  This year for St. Patrick's Day, we ran (and I use that term very loosely) a 5K starting at the Grand Ole Opry House.  We had a great time and Cason was such a good little running buddy.  Of course he waved and said "HI!" to every one we passed.  We even had him dressed in a little leprechaun t-shirt, complete with a red beard and pot of gold!  It was a lot of fun and something we said we would definitely do again as a family!

I know, I know... We've let it happen again!!! Time to blog about all of Cason's adventures has just simply slipped away from us.  We have been so busy having fun over the last few weeks and were simply in the moment.  We will do our best to catch you up on all the fun stuff...
