The big boy bed
Well, it was time... sigh....It was time for Cason to move into a big boy bed. He was starting to get a little cramped and crowded in his crib. At bedtime we have Cason, his pillow, his 2 blankets, his alligator, his teddy bear, his little sock monkey, his big sock monkey and most recently his jaguar cub. Of course, you're gonna eventually run out of room for your "stuff" in there.....
So Daddy & Mommy decided, it was time. While we don't have his big boy bedding yet, we do at least have the bed set up for him. So far, so good. He's growing up way too fast!!

Cason is such a hoot!
Even in the early hours of the morning, he's cheesing it up! Guess he wants to see Mommy & Daddy laugh in the morning before heading off to work.

Party time
Momma G is just the sweetest thing!
She had a Valentine's party for all the kids. All the kids brought cards to exchange and she had snacks & treats galore for them. Cupcakes, candy, fruits & veggies, chex mix... all the party food you could want! Everyone, big kids and little ones, thoroughly enjoyed it & had a blast!!

A sad day
We had to say goodbye to a precious member of our family today. Rest in Peace Cricket.
You will be dearly missed by all the lives you have touched.

Super Bowl Sunday
Our Sunday school class had a big get-together for the Super Bowl (about 40 or so people). Everyone was invited to come in their favorite NFL gear if they wanted, so of course, we went supporting our Jacksonville Jags!!! No pictures from the party, but we had a great time of fellowship. And although he was the youngest there, Cason was the life of the party!
Looking forward to the 2012-13 NFL season...

Such a strange night
Not really sure where to begin.....
After dinner and bath, the Captain needed a breathing treatment. (That pesky cough just will not go away!). He said "Momma, I do it!" What a big boy.
Around 7:30ish is Cason's bedtime, so after we finished our treatment and had some milk, we put him down for the night.
Or so we thought.
At 9:15 Daddy went to check on him one last time and cover him up before we went to bed. This is what he found.
Our little one.
Wide awake.
Munching on a styraphome ball like a teething puppy.
He had taken the ball to bed with him, and we figured "what's the harm? He just wants to snuggle with it right?" When Daddy went to check on him he was laying in his bed, biting the ball like you would an apple and spiting out the pieces onto the floor!! We were so busy laughing, the only thing would could do during this "teachable moment" was to say (in between giggles) "Cason, no sir. You don't bite the ball!" (And take pictures of course!)
I'm sorry but that is pretty darn funny!!
... And so begins the adventures of our 2 year old.....

Another boy badge
Poor little fella slipped out of his chair and hit his mouth on his table. He started crying really hard and it took a minute for us to realize he was bleeding. Poor baby!!!

Please don't worry, it was not as bad as it looks. He just bit the side of his lip and it didn't bleed anymore than what you see in the picture. Daddy almost looks proud, doesn't he?!!

For Uncle Clayton
One lazy Saturday, we put together a care package to send to Uncle Clayton while he is deployed. Mommy made chocolate chip double fudge brownies and chocolate chip cookies and Cason colored a few pictures. We thought it might brighten Uncle Clayton's day to receive some goodies from home. Love you & miss you bunches!!
What fun is coloring without some Skittles, right?!!
