Memorial Day
This Memorial Day weekend we spent some downtime with family & friends.
Mommy & Daddy got off work early on Friday & picked up Cason for some play time, movies, popcorn and fun!! Let the 3 day weekend begin!!
Snackin' with Daddy
On Saturday we headed to the ballfield to watch some of Daddy's buddies play ball. Later that day we did a little shoe shopping for Mommy, Yea!!! That evening, we headed over to Uncle Tim's house for some grillin' and chillin'... Tim cooked while we played with his girls Stephanie & Katherine. It was yummy & we definitely enjoyed the company.
On Sunday, we all went to Wave Country for a day at the wave pool. We arrived early and beat the crowds & the weather was great! Not too hot and the water was just perfect! They even had a kiddie pool with sprinklers for the little ones.
Me & my Daddy
But Cason was MUCH more interested in riding the big boy slides with Daddy. Mommy was only brave enough to go down with him one time, but he and Daddy had a blast with it. Mommy decided she was better at being a photographer (and stand by lifeguard, if needed!!).
Getting ready to go.....
Here we come....
SPLASH!!!
Let's do that again!!!
Such a brave one!! Ever the daredevil!
SPLASH!!!
Let's do that again!!!
Such a brave one!! Ever the daredevil!
Of course we had to squeeze in a nap after lunch.
Doesn't everyone do that on mini-vacations?.....
Monday morning, we woke up late and watched some Mickey and Phineas & Ferb. Of course we had a big breakfast complete with pancakes & bananas.
The we got ready for more fun in the water.
Here he's practicing getting in & out (and in & out and in & out) of his new raft.
He's trying to do it one handed while eating an oatmeal cookie!!!
So gifted! hehe.
On Memorial Day, we take time to give thanks for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to the men & women of our military who have died so that we may enjoy the many freedoms we have.
We are honored for your service and humbled by your sacrifice!
Happy Memorial Day 2011!!
