Softball time!!
The weekend after our last Atlanta trip, it was time to get back to softball. Daddy played in a NSA Men's 40 and over state tournament in Cookeville with some of his close friends. We were really excited about this tournament too because it meant all day at the ballfield! So we loaded up Daddy's gear, some chairs, a few changes of clothes, lots of outdoor toys and Cason's wagon for our day at the park.
**Cute Picture Overload**
Chillin in Mommy's chair, watching Daddy's first game
Practicing his swing between innings
Mommy, throw it to me!!
Rehydrating after his batting practice
"Mommy, your phone is ringing. I get it."
Moving to the next field
"You talkin' ta me?!"
Part wagon, part moving truck
It's snack time, right?
"Daddy! Hit it HARD!"
Ring around the rosie
In between games, Daddy & Cason had some fun on one of the empty fields. Daddy, dirt & baseball - by far Cason's favorite part of the day!!
Great swing kid, but you're hitting it the wrong way!
I tried hitting into the infield, but I like it my way better.
Cason would set up with one ball on the tee and one ball on the ground. When he would hit the ball off the tee, it would make the other ball move. He would chase down the other ball and hit it like the bat was a golf club. It was hilarious! He morphed 2 games into one - GOLF-T-BALL!
Daddy trying to teach Cason the fundamentals
Chillin with the guys between games
Daddy & Cason swapped hats
Silly Daddy
Cason asked for some Phineas & Ferb after being at the park all day. He had been so good, so we thought he deserved a treat. Plus, he missed his nap that day, but got lots of rest time in his comfy wagon. That thing was AWESOME to have with us, that's for sure!
Watching Daddy's winner's bracket championship game
We still had a one game wait but little man was coming down quickly. So we set up his wagon with his Albert pillow pet and his blanket, changed into some pj's and went for a walk. Not much later he was out like a light!! A long day at the ballfield will wear a boy out, for sure!
We were so excited! The guys won every game they played in 5 innings or less and actually won the entire tournament. State Champs baby!!! Not bad for a bunch of guys 40 and over!!
Congrats Daddy on a great tournament!!
