Thanksgiving weekend hike - 2012

We continued the tradition of our Thanksgiving weekend hike on the Friday after Thanksgiving at Shoal's Park in Glen.  We packed lunch of leftover turkey & ham sandwiches, fruit, chips and cookies and had a picnic too.  Of course, once we made it to the river, most of the kids (of all ages) played in the water and crossed over to the Georgia side of the river.  Needless to say, we all had a great time!!

Once we arrived at the river, there was no stopping the water play! Emma & Cole wore their bathing suits and even though it was cold, they still played and had a great time. Even Capt Awesome stripped down to his skivvies!

After everyone dried off (and put on a new T shirt) we headed back to the picnic tables for lunch. And man, were we hungry after all that fun!!

Later that night, after everyone was home & showered with full tummies from more leftovers we were hanging out watching football.  Cason decided he wanted to watch the booms (fireworks) from our last Braves game on Gaga's computer.  He just crawled up in his lap and laid out all comfy like. The Captain loves his Gaga time!!
